There's no such thing as magic. Or is there?
In a world much like our own, magic exists, but in secret, as does supernatural phenomena of the psychic sort. People are born with powers and abilities, and creatures considered mythical actually do walk the land, even if most people don't believe in them.
Magic use, in this world, is "governed" by a shadowy organization known only as the Tribunal. There is a code of conduct, mostly unspoken, that keeps magic use in balance... and the Tribunal is judge, jury, and executioner in those instances when mortal law is inadequate. The halfbreed fae Líadáin Harris does a favor for a friend and finds herself embroiled in a Murder Most Faire. This is the first of at least four mysteries with a magical twist.
On the flip side is Haven, an online hangout/hideout for those with psionic abilities. Haven, at this point, is a framework for a series of short stories - each of the stories deals with a character who is a member of the Haven message boards. The message boards were developed and are maintained by a person known only as Solitaire, who has made it his life's mission to give psis a community where they can learn from each other and hopefully protect themselves better. There's a bit of overarcing plot, dealing with the shared enemies that psions in this world face (shady government people, shady corporations, etc.) but overall, it's a collection of stories about people whose only connection, often, is the website they frequent.
